I hope that you all enjoyed the holidays whether it is sitting on the beach or travelling. Summer days are really hot and humid and a broad spectrum of SPF50 is required. Apply on your moisturiser and re-apply before you leave your home. This is absolutely important to prevent sunburn, dryness of the skin, premature aging and peeling of the skin. Whether you use a cream sunscreen or a spray solution suncare protection, they are all good. Just make sure that the sunscreen you buy is of a good quality and does not irritate your skin. Check the dates on the products, if it is old..DO NOT USE IT. Ask you local pharmacist for a good quality product which you can use for the whole family.

Make sure that you also stay hydrated. WATER is an excellent choice. Avoid sugary drinks, they just make you crave for more and causes your sugar levels to spike. Eat good healthy foods and fruit in season. Too much fried or fast foods will get you full but will not be of any benefit to your body. Healthy sandwiches made with brown bread will help get you enough fiber. Fillings for these sandwiches can range from tuna, chicken fillets, cheese etc. Avoid too many sauces but add enough lettuce, sliced tomatoes and cucumbers.

Follow a complete skincare routine when you get home from a day out. Cleanse, tone and moisturise is very important. Add a serum at night for an intense skin treatment. Make sure that you rub some of this serum on your hands as well. Under eye gels and creams will assist in getting rid of dark circles and keep the senistive skin moisturised. Always use quality products. The golden rule to skincare is that a little goes a long way so use a small amount of product under the eye. A moisturing hand cream must be used just before you get into bed. This helps keep the skin soft and supple.
