HOW TO MATCH YOUR FOUNDATION
BeautyThis is probably the most difficult make-up to choose. There are so many brands, colours, textures and finishes BUT it all depends on your skin tone. If you go too light it would give you a greyish look and if you go a shade darker you may have two shades on the neck and face. So, HOW DO MATCH YOUR FOUNDATION.
Firstly, know your undertone of your skin. This will help in blending the foundation giving you better coverage. The 3 types of undertones are WARM, NEUTRAL and COOL. Then there is also the TYPE of foundation that you would consider using, either a creamy one, powered one, liquid or mousse. If you have an oily skin, then a mineral powder or oil-free liquid formul would be better to use but if your skin is dry then a suitable hydrating liquid or a creamy solution would work. I normally try out a new foundation on my jawline and if it blends well and covers then I know that it would be suitable. Surprisingly, your skin tone changes with the seasons, so it will be lighter in the winter and darker in the summer. I normally have two shades on hand and when the need be I simply blend the two to get my correct match. For a more even look, I use a foundation brush and blend my foundation so I get a fully covered but natural look. A dense foam could also work as it is easier to blend and you can go over any foundation streaks by wetting the sponge. Lastly, dust loose powder to set the foundation. My secret foundation is the Velvet Touch by Annique which is creamy and glides onto my skin giving me a velvety smooth finish every time. It does not dry out the skin and lasts the whole day. The plus is that it has an SPF20 which means that my skin is also protected from the harsh sunlight. This is definately my choice and I LOVE IT!!
