
Skin Solutions
HealthHi Friends, over the past few talks on my radio show I spoke about skincare, haircare and touched on the topic of makeup. However with the numerous amount of questions still coming in, I think i now have to talk alittle about how the skin works and what you actually need.
Inorder to look and feel good you will have to work from the inside out. By that I mean that regular exercise, diet and mind relaxation ALL contribute to the way you look and feel. The skin is affected by hormone imbalances. chronic medication, antibiotics, heat, artificial lighting and the natural elements which is the wind, sun, cold and rain. So what do we actually do to conteract this. Firstly, determine what is causing the imbalance and then work out how you can improve on this. Topical products are not the only solutions. Being active, that means moderate exercises whether its walking, stretching exercises or meditation, they all work . All you need is a light sweat. Remember that you do not need to be out of breathe. Start with easy, slow motion exercises and then gradually build up the intensity. You could even sit and do the movements. It takes alittle practice and soon your body will adjust. Now with this comes the repair of skin tissue and muscle and this is how you can achieve better skin and a better body. Always and I must stress ALWAYS stretch before and after any exercise. Then there is meditation, being calm and in control of your mind brings about peace in the body. This helps the body to repair and work properly by flushing out toxins. When there is no blockages the body cells are able to repair and with that comes clear skin and a healthy body and mind.
Diet is key to a healthy body and skin. Too much rich, oily foods are not suitable. Fresh, wholesome foods such as vegetables, fruit and nuts and the most natural way to get all the vitamins and minerals the body needs. Snacking on chips, cooldrinks and sweets are not a great way to feed the body. Snack time should be freshly cut fruit or nuts. Just water is sufficient to keep the body hydrated. If you make small changes, you will feel the difference and look great.
